Master Class in Facilitating Family Constellations: Power and Group Dynamics

November 11 - November 15

Part of being a Constellation Facilitator is guiding groups to create the kind of community experience that you would like your circles to have. What are the elements of power dynamics that influence atmosphere? What kinds of choices do you make in your facilitation, and what are their effects? When are you under the influence of others? How do others respond to your influence? And what are your options as a group participant? Join Sarah to explore how our neurobiology affects us in creating a group body and a group brain, and how to use constellation work to disentangle groups from the overlays of family and systemic history.

The training will alternate ipnb learning, mini constellations in small groups, and large group constellations led by Sarah and by the participants.

Constellation concepts:

Making group/family entanglements explicit

Disentangling individual from group

Designing ritual constellations to support group process

IPNB concepts:

The existence of the individual

Power, status and the hemispheres

Privilege, claiming space, empathy and lack of empathy

The neurobiology of group dynamics

For people who are steeped in neuroscience, the experiential exploration offered by constellation work will augment and deepen understanding. For traditional constellation facilitators, the grounding in interpersonal neurobiology will provide new inspiration and understanding of the healing power of the work. The purpose of this program is two-fold: healing and learning. Each person will be able to use their own healing journey to internalize the IPNB and constellation concepts.
