Addiction, Habits and Free Will: Empathy for Choice and Decision Fatigue, with a nod to the Basal Ganglia

$20.00

Product Description

What is happening with brains and the “decisions” we make that lead us toward and away from our addictions and compulsions? How do we support healthy decision making and get as much help as possible to do something different from old, unhealthy patterns? Do our brains get tired from making decisions? And what about that darned marshmallow test? In this webinar, Sarah will explore all aspects of decision-making that touch on addictions and compulsions, and invite new learning about the parts of the brain that are involved, and where to leverage our empathy skills to bring ourselves the most relief.

We will conduct this webinar using the Zoom webinar techonology so that you will be able to see my screen with me rather than having to download slides, although that will still be possible for those of you who enjoy seeing the notes section of the slides where the research is quoted.

Led by Sarah Peyton. $20 per drop-in (and/or recording of) webinar, one session monthly, 7-8:30 p.m. Pacific time,

***NEW FEATURE***  This webinar will take place using Zoom online video technology, so you can directly view Sarah’s slides, and see her during the call.  (If you speak, you will have the option to show or hide your video, and you do not need to have a webcam or computer to participate; phone-only connection is still available.)
