Constellating The Shadow
What is it that we do not know about ourselves?
What happens if we invite the shadow into our constellation space, the parts of ourselves that are more hungry than we are comfortable with, angrier than we can bear, more judgmental, blaming, contemptuous, helpless or frozen than we wish to be?
How can we turn toward this unknown part with gentleness and acceptance.
This is not comfortable work, but it brings great self-compassion in its wake.
Constellations and Physical Health: Wellness, Aging, Weight and Energy
This workshop is a immersive exploration of how to use constellation work to untangle the knots that block our access to an easeful, right relationship between mind and body. Workshop participants will learn how we can apply inquiry, warmth and resonance to the blocks to actions that support well-being, and how attachment wounds can limit ability for self-regulation and robust self-care.
2018 All-Access to Monthly IPNB Webinars
Each month, Sarah offers a IPNB Webinar, a 1-1/2 hour exploration of current research into the brain and how it behaves in relationship.
By signing up for this masterclass, you will receive FREE access to this monthly exploration that uses Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and Relational Language to emphasize how we change and heal in relationship with one another.
2018 Webinar Topics include: January 30 (The IPNB of Relaxation: How to Find our Way to Ease) / February 27 (The Right Hemisphere: Home of Empathy) / March 27 (Money and Empathy / April 17 (The Shadow: IPNB and Empathy) / May 29 (Guilt, Shame, Innocence, Loyalty and Belonging) / June 26 (Intuition: Supporting Knowing Presence with Empathy and Research) / July (Exhaustion, Chronic Fatigue and the Hypothalamus) / August (The Writer’s Mind: The Importance of Empathy and Neuroscience) / September (Traumatic Brain Injury: Empathy and the Path of Healing) / October 23 (Marijuana and Endocannabinoids: Play and Trauma, How can Empathy Help? / November 27 (The Relational Neuroscience of Conflict and Reactivity)
WHY A NEUROSCIENCE-INFORMED
You are welcome to sign up for any of the individual constellation events, but here's what you'll learn by attending all events in the series:
- You would like to understand how relational neuroscience comes into play in the "group brain" healing field of constellations, and how attachment relationships affect present-day intimacy
- You long to understand how neuroscience can help you facilitate trauma-informed constellations, including how our default network and emotional alarm system can create entanglements that prevent self-connection, which is often not revealed in traditional family-system constellations
- You would like to practice letting your body guide you, as a seeker or a representative, in uncovering buried nervous-system patterns and "sacred vows" permitting you a deep exploration of self and other by accessing the network of right-hemispheres that is group wisdom.
- You would like to learn how to use this radical group process of making peace with what has gone before and to embrace what life is offering you
- You would like to receive and learn Sarah's unique synthesis of relational neuroscience, resonant language and trauma-informed constellations
- You would like a way of bringing the deepest questions of being human into three-dimensional exploration and experience the magical unfolding that is offered by engaging the brain in constellations wo

ENGAGING THE BRAIN IN CONSTELLATION WORK
WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY:
"I have studied constellation facilitation with Sarah for two years (and studied neuroscience with her three years before that), she has facilitated numerous constellations for me.
Everyone brings their own style to facilitation. Sarah's style is gentle and caring to my nervous system, so that when we get to the deep trauma and the scary parts that do not live on the surface, I feel a sense of profound trust.
She brings kindness to her understanding of social neuroscience, so I know that she will hold me with warmth as I unwind and make sense of my family history. I have received constellations from many other facilitators, and she is always my first choice!"
- Rev. Katherine Revoir, Constellation Facilitator and Creative Director of Center for Richer Living
WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY:
"We can only heal what is in our conscious awareness, and there's a limit to what we can access of ourselves on our own. Constellations offer unique access to our inner worlds, revealing trauma-frozen emotions and experiences and vows that unconsciously weigh on us but elude identification. Constellation work with Sarah allows our past pains--and our familial and cultural past pains--to surface and be seen, held, and fully acknowledged. Those experiences are melted back into the river of life so that increasingly more of our life energy can flow where its longing to go.There is no facilitator or teacher in the world I trust more than Sarah, whose attunement to the seeker and deep honoring of the experience of representatives allows everyone access to deep healing without retraumatization. She allows for everyone's intuition to collectively guide the process, rather than overdetermining the process from a rational perspective. The results are unexpected and profound. She trusts the field, and she trusts the seeker and the representatives' relationships with the field.Working with Sarah for the past five years have been unspeakably transformational for me in my own healing and in my counseling work, allowing me to understand that we are always in constellations, past and present, and that learning to attune to those unfolding constellations gives us more power and choice in our lives."

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY:In the year and a half or more of participating in the facilitating constellations workshop, I received the thoroughness and passion of Sarah's research and synthesis in the intricacy of learning that surrounded the constellation work itself. The breadth and depth of this understanding enriched and informed everything we did from how we held each other's stories, participated in our group, and understood our constellations. The constellations themselves are an ineffable art form of healing and it takes being in them to understand what I mean by this, but I it was true for those receiving, those facilitating, and those participating. Sarah's tireless pursuit of healing and learning made all that we did rich and life changing.-Ann Malabre, Certified Empathic Coach and Assistant Trainer, BayNVC Leadership Program
