Constellating Narratives, Constellating Patriarchy

This workshop will combine two compelling subjects.  First, how do aspects of story and narrative appear in constellation work?  How is story woven into the fabric of our lives and our understanding of ourselves and our place in the world?

Secondly, we will look at the stories imposed on us by society.  What happens if we invite the unconscious power of the systems we live within to show up explicitly in our constellation work?  How do our unconscious biases and the ways we have been shaped by the world around us show up within our own stories and how do they impact our own feelings of agency and personal power?  This is not comfortable work, but it brings great self-compassion in its wake.

FAQs

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF EACH MASTERCLASS?

Each of the 3 workshops alternates between short lectures on neuroscience and constellation concepts with mini-constellations to explore and practice the concepts, followed by large group constellations.

Each event within the series is an intensive that stretches over 5 calendar days, starting with a dinner on day one, an evening session, three days of work from 9am until 9pm, and then a completion morning session on day 5, ending with lunch.

HOW DO THE LARGE GROUP CONSTELLATIONS WORK?

Large, full-group constellations are facilitated by Sarah and by student constellators with Sarah's support.

Facilitating the large group constellations with Sarah's support is done by lottery, as is playing the seeker role, thus not all participants will have a chance to be a facilitator or a seeker.

WILL I RECEIVE A CONSTELLATION?

Both being a facilitator and being a seeker happen by lottery. Not all participants will have a chance to be a seeker or a facilitator.

WHAT IS THE FOOD AND LODGING LIKE AT THE EVENTS?

Alton Collins retreat center is a beautiful, serene location outside Portland, OR, in the rainforest-like Cascadia bio-region of Oregon. Quiet, lush, contemplative, it is the perfect place to drop into a year-long immersion of wonder, play, expression, and deep healing and learning.

Their staff handles food sensitivities with utmost care and conscientiousness, so ANY and ALL dietary concerns will be easily received and served. Learn more at their website.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
  • DOUBLE-OCCUPANCY (Register and Pay By Dec 15): Tuition = $1650 + double room & board $1500, total $3,150.
  • SINGLE-OCCUPANCY + COMMUTER RATES: Please inquire with Sarah for single occupancy prices and commuter rates. Drive time is about 1 hour each way from Portland.
WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN THE EVENTS?

The masterclass series is meant to be a full-year immersion into constellation practice and theory, thus we encourage self-directed dyad and triad groups in-between the constellation events, for which Sarah will offer exercises and other invitations for how to spend small-group time between retreats.

In addition, participants can stay connected to each other and to the neuroscience material by attending (as part of the series) Sarah's monthly online webinar which explores the intersection of IPNB, trauma healing and resonant language.
