The left hemisphere, which is where we do most of our conscious thought and our speaking, and where our everyday social self lives, does not have its own relationship with our emotional body. Experiences like school, work, and social media tend to immobilize us in one place with movement only in our brains, eyes and hands, so we may lose even more connection with our corporeal being.
